I am almost 54 but I am not old like some old ladies! I am GETTING old, but I am not there yet. No one believes it, but I was so mistreated by my ex-employer of 9, almost 10 years. I never called out sick, was not late even once, did anything ( and more) That I was aksed and after all that, I was edged out.
They FIRED the supervisor that was a complete lunatic. She had been harrassing me with these tirades and blabberings for many years. When she first came to work there ( she was away for years and returned), she verbally attacked me for not giving her a birthday gift. What she didn't know is that she was off on her birthday and then came the weekend. Her b'day prez was in my purse while she was yeling. I KEPT IT. No way was I giving her a gift after she begged like that. My mother taught me better. She hammered away at me for years. About a year and a half before she was fired, It got worse. She started bad mouthing her sister and nephews.......THE OWNERS to me and telling me personal info including that the owner, her half sister had sex with a family friend, got pregnant and had a daughter which she not no intention of ever meeting. This came after the whacko supervisor and her actual husband GAVE A CHILD they had up for adoption so they would ruin her husband's medical career. THey actually FOUND this woman...Anyway, she had been campaigning for some time to poison me against the owners. What do you do? You can 't go tot he owners and asy anything.....they would surely protect and defend their family member........I kept quiet and one day the owner retired and sold the business to her son. He previoously brought in his girlfriend to be the new supervisor. I thought maybe things would now change. They DID...for the worse.
Carmen, the girlfriend began harrassing me verbally...bullying me and making untrue and unkind remarks to me and about me. She had bonded with these trashy girls who no longer work there and was pitting them against me. They were all laughing at me behind my back. I was forced by the exiting supervisor to accept 12 hour shifts. I was very tired after just a couple of weeks and harldy able to work. I was scared, upseet and angry. Ihad ben promised work as a web designer and could see it was never gonna happen.
TO BE CONTINUED And so when I was more upset than ever before, after taking every persona slight and insult I could stand, when I thought nothing else could possibly happen, the new owner, the son, showed me a pronagraphic page on the web that sells some sick device and says it not porno, its a marital aid and would I want to take over the work on this site. NOT! All teh classes I took, all the time I gave up to learn web design and this stinkin little creep wants to give me this to work on........I was insulted that he took such a light view of what it was. I was angrier that he tried to make me think it was not so bad. Didn't he know me at all? I walked away. What else could i reasonably DO? The new supervisor hated me and was harrasing me purpposefully to get me out of there and now I had to turn down work on this porno site...and everyone was snickering behind my back..... I applied for unemployment. I was denied. I wrote a 10 page appeal letter. Got an appeal. At the appeal hearing, the owner lied. He also tried to deny that i ahd sent the building key back ( I really DID) and finally gave me a last paycheck Unemployment hearing went in our favor.In MUY hearing he told the truth, but in my sister's he told a direct LIE and told his mother she had lied, not him. We got our $$$. They appealed the decision and we had a telephine review We won that, too. This of course means that MORE than a few people saw thru my ex-employer and his attempts to discredit me and my sister. THE END FOR NOW.
